今日は、あまりメディアでは騒がれていませんが、実はとても

日本でも感染例があります。ご存知でしたか？

that since September 2012　 2012年９月以来　
there have been 53 laboratory-confirmed cases
of infection with a new virus
新型ウィルスによる５３の感染例が確認されたということです　
called the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome known as
MERS-CoV,  中東呼吸器症候群(MERS-Cov)と呼ばれる　
and 30 of the people infected with the disease have died.
感染した患者のうち30人が死亡しました
All those who have come down with MERS-CoV

 had a direct or indirect connection to the Middle East,

の病院で約10人に中東呼吸器症候群（Middle East Respiratory
Syndrome、
MERS）ウイルスの陽性反応が出たと報じた。
　カレッギ（Careggi）病院感染症クリニックの
アレッサンドロ・バルトローニ（Alessandro Bartoloni）氏によると、
これまでのところ、これらの陽性者にMERSの症状は出ていないが、
確認のため血液サンプルはローマ（Rome）の高等保健研究所（ISS）に
送られた。
感染の拡大を調べるため、今後もサンプルを集めていくという。
中東などで感染が確認されているSARS（Severe Acute Respiratory
Syndrome、
重症急性呼吸器症候群）ウイルスに似た新型コロナウイルスについては
前月、
「Middle East Respiratory Syndrome（中東呼吸器症候群）コロナウイ
ルス」、
またはこれを短縮した「MERS（マーズ）コロナウイルス」と呼ぶことが決まっ
